Green Smoothies
The idea behind green smoothies is to get as much greens into your body as possible. There are two kinds – sweet and savory.
Sweet are greens blended with fruit
Savory are greens blended with avocado, herbs, pinks salt, EFA oils etc.
I usually do sweet in the morning and savory in the afternoon/evening.
I do not recommend exceeding two pieces of fruit per smoothie. You could have two pieces of fruit and frozen berries (low glycemic). Things like lemon, mint or ginger can add to the flavor.
Sweet – blend any fruits that appeal to you with different types of greens like:
Kale, Spinach, Parley, Romaine lettuce , Arugula, Cucumber, Celery
Fruit ingredient examples: 2 apples, 2 pears
Lemon, ginger, mint, banana, organic frozen berries
Feel free to experiment.
Here is one example of a fruit smoothie recipe:
Ginger/Lemon Zinger
1 lemon – no peel
1/2 inch ginger
1 apple, 1 banana
1/2 bunch mint
2 large kale leaves
handful parsley, handful spinach
Variations:
kale, banana-blueberry
spinach, avocado, banana-cacao
spring mix, mango-berry
rainbow swiss chard, banana-mango
arugula, pineapple-coconut
Try adding a few superfoods ground flaxseed, hemp powder, maca powder,
goji berries, bee pollen, coconut water
Some things to experiment with: citrus fruit, kiwis, apples, herbs

Use Only Organic Ingredients
Options of Herbs for flavoring:
Rosemary, Basil, Cilantro, Garlic, Ginger, Cayenne Pepper, Curry Powder
Namu Shoyu – Raw soy sauce or Bragg’s Liquid Amino Acids
Pink Salt
Main Ingredients: Any combination of the following
Zucchini, Celery, Cucumbers
Sprouts: Mung, Lentils, Greens: Kale, Collards, chard, mustard, dandelion
Broccoli, Avocado, Onion
Seaweed: dulse, kelp, nori, hijiki
Apple, Lemon
Tablespoon of Greens Mix
EFA Oil – 1 tablespoon
Fill Blender halfway with purified water:
Add one tbsp seaweed, Add 1/2 cup sprouts
Add other veggies, seasoning
One half to whole avocado
If adding lemon – try juice of one
Apple – one small apple cored
I like to chop some cucumber and avocado and nori and put on top and sprinkle with additional cayenne and pink salt.
